Morning... rescue!

Just a very quick blog post today. Today's weather was just temperamental... one moment it was raining furiously, the next, sunny as :D but really, I wouldn't have known any better if customers didn't tell me, having been stuck indoors for 9.5hours today since 6:30am.

I realise when people ask "how are you?", it's really just out of courtesy, and really, who gives a damn, so sometimes I'll just mumble out a random response just to see their reaction. You can really tell who actually listens for a response, because most of the time, they'd just continue loading their groceries onto the table in ignorance, or digging for their wallets. Or you get the chatty ones who regurgitate their whole life story in a matter of 3 minutes.

Those are the ones most likely to leave their wallets behind =_______= How many wallets have the "lost and found" place collected, I wonder.

I didn't get my morning rescue this morning....

This was from another morning. I never get time to eat breakfast on Saturdays, but I was thinking about this grilled sandwich for some time. I haven't actually had the combination of avocado and bacon before... and the good thing about this sandwich was that the bacon was chopped to pieces. Too often, I've tried to take a bite out of a strip of bacon, and ended up pulling the whole strip out. This solves that problem! :D

Puella Maji FINALE!

So yesterday, 22 April, marked a monumental day for most anime fans~ Puella Maji Madoka Magica's final two episodes were released at about noon! The much anticipated episodes had everyone checking constantly as to when it was going to be released, having been delayed due to the earthquake in Japan. M.F mentioned that due to the huge amount of downloads, the GG server crashed ^^ Myself? I was at an anime marathon screening for Tatakau Shishou, Bantorra with few friends, and when the final two episodes of Madoka was released, we ceased Bantorra and just HAD to watch it first XD

This was the awesome screening area where the couches were so comfortable, one could simply LIE down and go to sleep~

Sister and the funny bunny

Just had a short skype webcam chat with my sister :D Of course, one would never realise what one is missing until one finds it gone. Truth be told, being all busy and filling every single day of my week with something keeps me from thinking too much, but once you get the time to sit down and contemplate and gain some introspection, you cannot help but feel depressed. For me, if I actually bothered to sit down and think, it's the scary unknown future that unsettles me just a little. What to do after this final year of study, what career to pursue, IF I can get the job I want... what, then, happens next?

My dear mouse, Yuki. I'm still practicing macro, so most of my food pictures are going to be the same angle stuff.

Cold weather= hot pot!

Last night, to celebrate OC's birthday, I met up with some friends for dinner after a long day at uni. It was a day of presentations, getting publicly humiliated by having to sing in class, and disappointment, but nonetheless, dinner was needed, and better to dine with friends than alone.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, sun was shining and it was warm in the afternoon. Then night came, bringing with it the bitter cold. Thus, it was decided that we'd have our very first hot pot of the year~

$5 lunch? And it wasn't Maccas?

'sup! :D So I should really be working on my presentation, which is due on Tuesday, but what harm can a little bit of procrastination do?

... Apparently a lot when the "little bit" turn into... well, not so little.

BUT it IS Sunday, and it's meant to be relaxing, so~ I shall promise myself that I'll work on the presentation tonight, even if it kills me, and procrastinate just a little longer to blog for now.

That wasn't today, this was taken a while back, but I noticed the clouds were looking ridiculously cute and whipped out Stanley in a flash to take this while waiting for the traffic lights to turn green.

Photo entry!

Spider on the wall

Shall have to do short, photo posts rather than long ones due to... massive amounts of other work. And sleepiness.

It was actually a cockroach on the wall. It was smacked to death upon my old entertainment book and flushed down the toilet. Not by my hand. I can't handle roaches.

But this is a spider roll.

Nasu dengaku- eggplant with sweet miso paste.

If anyone goes to Mizuya for dinner (or karaoke, or both), their crocodile karaage, nasu dengaku and spider roll are recommended.  And yes, I realise this is a revisitation =( but proper update when I have more time. And more sleep.

Today is Sunday, we so excited

This week has got to be one of the most relaxing weeks I've had in a long, long... long long long time. Love how it's raining right now, just adds to the whole relaxation- perfect weather for snuggling into bed with a good fantasy novel and just falling asleep in the warmth of thick blankets.

On Friday, I spent a record time of 4 hours in cafes. 2 hours in Gloria Jeans sipping a regular flat white, then another 2 hours in Starbucks sipping lemon tea, passion flavor, before heading home. That was my whole day (including sleep in). Should have spent the time working, but instead started the book Mistborn, which is part of a trilogy. Goal is to actually finish reading the whole trilogy. It's been so long since I actually completed reading trilogies, I always give up somewhere and skip straight to the end.

Then yesterday, I was preparing a lesson for Sunday School and tt challenged me.

Back to the beginning

So it's already more than a quarter of the way through 2011. I feel like it's only been the start of uni really, but it's already how many weeks into it? Scary how time flies, and how I'm still looking for a grad program after uni finishes this year.

At the start of this year, we went out as a family to dinner....

Udon-ya!

Short short dinner post!

From Weeks 9-12, 2011
What is so special about this dinner? It's home-made! Well... not the char siu... but the noodles. Udon made from the cookingwithdog recipe, which is actually pretty easy to follow.
